  7. for example, you might promise to have it washed, gas it up, repair the 
  8. carburetor and dry clean the pair of fuzzy dice hanging from the rear-view 
  9. mirror. If that doesn't work, you might remark that if you have to stay
  10. home tonight, it would be a particularly good time for Dad to finally tell 
  11. you the facts of life.......
